The FCA New England Region is continuing our now long-standing tradition of getting together to wrap presents for the patients at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Last year, nearly 40 club members got together at Tommy Altmann's Hot Tomato restaurant in Hartford early on Sunday morning to wrap specially-made sweatshirts, t-shirts, Mattel Ferrari cars and Lego car kits. We'll be doing it again this year! There is a suggested donation of $30 per person for this great cause - going right to the hospital.
Tommy & Melissa Altmann are donating brunch and use of their great restaurant; Stanley & Janet Cohen, Joe & Tina Capasso and Bob & Carmela LaRosa are donating the custom sweatshirts, t-shirts and Mattel Ferrari cars; Peter & Rosemary Lombardo are donating stuffed animals; and Dave & Fiona Friar are donating the Lego Kits as well as the boxes and wrapping paper.
So we'll get together on a crisp December morning for some frittata and gift-wrapping! Dressing as elves is entirely optional. We'll be meeting at 9 am Sunday morning at Hot Tomato's restaurant in downtown Hartford, 1 Union Place, (860) 249-5100, (
